
Ken Paxton, director of Greene County Development Corporation (GCDC), will step down from that role effective May 30. GCDC board president Scott Weber thanked Paxton for his 15 years of service to Greene County.
GCDC will pause work on the Vision 2030 plan to consider the role and structure of GCDC going forward. Michelle Book, a Des Moines consultant and 1979 Jefferson High School graduate, will facilitate these community conversations.
Since its inception the mission of GCDC has been “to cooperate in the active development and implementation of programs and activities to expand and diversify the economy of Greene County, through the attraction, retention, and expansion of businesses”.Any inquiries can be directed to Weber at sweber@heartlandbanks.bank.
